
Olavo Chinaglia has extensive and well-established experience in cartel investigations, abuse of dominant position, and merger control cases across a wide range of industries. He also acts in corporate and administrative litigation, as well as in matters involving the development, improvement, and implementation of corporate integrity and compliance programs and training.

He served as a Commissioner of CADE – the Brazilian Administrative Council for Economic Defense, where he also acted as Interim President of the agency. During his tenure, he represented CADE in the International Competition Network (ICN) and in the Competition Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Olavo holds a Ph.D. in Commercial Law from the University of São Paulo (2008), where he also earned his law degree in 1997. He has over 20 years of experience in Economic Law, with a strong focus on antitrust matters.
He has delivered over one hundred lectures at national and international seminars, congresses, and conferences, and is the author of several academic articles on competition and corporate law.
