Arthur Felipe Azevedo Barretto is a lawyer with over 13 years of experience in corporate criminal law, both advisory and litigation, from police investigations to higher courts, especially in complex cases involving crimes against the national financial system, corruption, money laundering, bidding fraud, environmental crimes, crimes against economic order, tax crimes, crimes against the capital market, cartel, unfair competition, corporate fraud, among others.

He has extensive experience in compliance, having advised Brazilian and multinational companies in developing and improving/adapting integrity programs, internal policies and procedures, conducting compliance due diligence in M&A operations, third-party and supplier integrity assessments, developing training programs, and especially in conducting national and cross-border corporate investigations, including reporting to national and foreign authorities and monitors, covering topics such as corruption, bidding fraud, corporate fraud, unfair competition, and money laundering.

He is a PhD candidate and holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Procedural Law from the Law School of the University of São Paulo (USP). He is specialized in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). He holds a Postgraduate degree in Compliance from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-SP) and a Law degree from the Federal University of Alagoas.

He completed a Financial Compliance course at LEC (Legal, Ethics & Compliance). Member of the Editorial Board of the Brazilian Journal of Criminal Sciences (RBCCRIM) and the Newsletter of the Brazilian Institute of Criminal Sciences (IBCCRIM).
